#GetIntoFilm is a new series of talks, organized by us here in Filmbase, where we wrangle in friends and tutors from all facets of the industry to come and chat to our members. These evenings will generally take place on the last Wednesday of every month, but can pop up on other dates, as we’re working with some very busy calendars. The inaugural event kicked off Wednesday 31st with Casting Director Ali Coffey chatting with Actors’ Coach Mel Churcher on the topic of “Getting cast in a Film/TV Series.”

Kirk is a working actor since the late 1980’s and infamously played the part the tortured police officer, Marvin Nash, in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. He has also worked with directors including Oliver Stone (Natural Born Killers), John Woo (Face/Off), Warren Beatty (Bulworth) and Kevin Costner (Dances With Wolves). He has also been a familiar face on US Network television for over 20 years with roles on shows such as NYPD Blue, NCIS LA, 24 and Without A Trace.
These events are always FREE for Filmbase members and €5 for non-members but make sure to book your place; there are only a limited number of places available.
