Using the Blackmagic URSA & Pocket Cinema Cameras, this course will introduce students to the range of functions and possibilities these groundbreaking cameras offer.
Intro:
The course is designed to give participants an overview of the functions of the Blackmagic URSA & Pocket Cinema Camera. With class numbers limited, individual feedback is an integral part of this course.
Objective:
On completion of the course participants will have gained the knowledge required to operate the Blackmagic URSA & Pocket Cinema cameras, learn basic film making techniques including composition and working with different lighting setups.

Lead Tutor: Jaro Waldeck ![jaro-photo]()
Jaro Waldeck is a DOP with Master of Arts in Cinematography from FAMU Prague and a Bachelor of Arts in Cinematography from Columbia College Chicago. She won Best Cinematography Award at the 7th Underground Cinema Awards Dún Laoghaire and picked up the Best Cinematography Award at the 48Hour Film Project Dublin. Jaro has worked on projects ranging from short narrative and documentary films, to music videos, TV documentaries and commercials and promos.
As well as focusing on lighting and camera operating, Jaro has three years combined experience teaching cinematography and supervising student film-shoots. Her skills and experience involve working with all modern digital semi-pro and fully professional cameras and work flows, 35mm and 16mm film stocks and cameras, lighting and camera support equipment, colour corrections, location scouting, technical script analysis, storyboarding and shot list creation.
